The pan is very small and thin. When I got my fish in, the lid cannot be closed. Also I bought the one with "visual imperfection", which turns out 3 Convex on the rim of the pan (@3 sides). The lid cannot be closed/sealed properly, never. I was very disappointed and shipped it back today.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It cooks fish better than anything else, cleans easily (add water, let it soak and it all gets unstuck) and looks good. Two minuses: as others have said it's rather small so don't expect to cook for more than 1-2 peopl. Also, the handles are small so it's a little tricky to take out of the oven without risking burning your hands or dropping it.

Perfectly cook your whole or portioned fish in this amazing fish pan by Staub. The nonstick enameled cast iron interior will provide the best heat distribution and retention desired for making the flakiest, fall of the bone fish. Plus the interior is pre-seasoned so any time you use the pan, it will only season it further for the most flavorful results every time!

A great serving dish for your beautiful fish recipes. With the enameled cast iron, it will cook your fish to perfection. A great piece to use for your seafood dinners, or to use a serving dish for sides, desserts, etc.

This pan cooks fish perfectly every time. The Staub black matte finish sears the fish while the cover holds in its own moisture producing a deliciously flavored fish. I add herbs on the side of the fish and that flavor is infused into dish.

this is a beautiful keepsake piece. I love cooking sides of salmon in this vessel. Actually, any fish fillet is great. Add a few lemon slices, sprigs of time and grape tomatoes, and you have a spectacular 15 minute meal. oven to table

Perfect steamed fish

I live in an area where fish is a staple. We eat some type of Salmon, Halibut and cod at least twice a week. Buying a fish whole is more economical than a fillet.
This pan makes cooking a whole fish easy and turns out beautiful and moist every time.
I tried a whole rock fish cooked in packed salt and was really pleased with this pans performance.
