[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my girlfriend for Christmas with her name engraved on it and she absolutely love it specially because she is getting into cooking! The knife is very sharp which we love and she is so excited to start cooking with it!

This Santoku knife is beautifully made and exceptional design. Chef knife or Santoku knife is certainly a versatile kitchen knife nowadays, An 8" is reasonably a standard size of knife to have for every cook, iand forged. Forged knife are durable and could stand rusting and corrosion. It is so sharp to go through any meat, vegetable, herb, or fruits.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dangerous packaging

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This knife comes packaged in hard plastic and it is very difficult to remove. You have to be very careful to not cut yourself as the knife has no edge protection in the package. I nicked my thumb trying to remove it. Henckels needs to provide edge protection or simply package this knife in a box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
