[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t used the knife yet. Just unpackaged it and I’ve noticed the it does not have a clean sharp edge along the blade and with a few nicks and burrs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my wife a Henckels knife as she's always wanted one. She opened the packaging immediately, and made happy noises for a bit and then used it to make dinner. I can't remember the last time she was this happy about kitchen utensils! Totally worth it. Knife is sharp, well built and is light and amazing to use with a good balance. Most of which, you can't say about a lot of products today.

Overall I think that is a really great quality knife, I use it daily and it has made cooking so much easier and fun! I love that it is light but a really sturdy knife. I’ve had several cheap knives and was able to toss all of them. I think this knife will easily last the rest of my life.

Don't pay extra when you get the same quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Henckels Classic Forged 8 in chef knife is extremely well made. You feel the quality when you pick it up. The weight is balanced, the German stainless steel sharp looking in the satin finish, and the triple riveted handle fits naturally. The knife is extremely sharp so respect it as you do your other sharp knives. It sliced through an extra ripe tomato with zero effort. It will become your favorite tool in the kitchen as it has in mine.
