The ripe garden tomato test is the ultimate test. This Asian angled blade will slice as thin and perfect as you care to try. It makes me wonder why I have seven lonely standard blade Zwilling knives in the rack. Truly worth the money.

My new favorite knife

This is as good as my Wustof knives. This is my new go to knife in the kitchen, I use it more than my chef knife for most things.
