Great Pot!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] High quality. Great pot for so many things. Use it for two people normally, but have plenty of room when guests come over and need to cook for more. Not too heavy and lid stay on securely.

I was super excited to receive my Dutch oven because I love my smaller 3quart oven! Unfortunately the excitement fizzled when I realized the glaze on the lid was spotty revealing the cast iron underneath. Also the white is super white making the oven appear cheap. Going to exchange for the black oven to match my smaller one.

Made of cast iron and coated in a black matte enamel this cocotte has exceptional heating capability. It cooks evenly and efficiently. The pan browns and sears beautifully, is scratch resistant and easy to clean. Accented with a brass knob, this cocotte is the perfect for making stews, roasts, casseroles and other one-pot classics. The soft white color would be a beautiful addition to any table.
