New to baking I didn't know 9" meant diameter at the top of the plate and not the bottom. So it is a little small for my traditional needs. However it is GREAT for my crumbles, cobblers and quiche. Oh and the most evenly cooked frita. Handles make it the most functional plate in my collection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Staub ceramic cookware is one of the best out there. It cooks evenly, clean up is easy and it’s lovely. Every pie cooks perfectly and the crust does not stick. You have your bakeware forever. Get the best you can afford. Staub is that for me.

Great Pie Baker and Anything Baker!

I like the solid construction, the beautiful blue glaze color and the quality. I baked a quiche perfectly so far, and plan to use it to bake other things like stuffed shells for myself.

A comforting homey piece

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a lot of pie dishes and there are some that are more functional or portable but there's nothing that says old-time home comfort than cutting into this beautiful dish. The flutes around the edges of the pie, the deep blue color of the dish, and the classic made feel are exactly what I want when I just want some comfort.
