This set was an investment!! My passion is cooking and I adore these knives. They are like none other. The edges are scalpel like. A little on the light side, but I've adjusted to that. Conversation piece because of the gorgeous blade and unique handle.

Beautifully crafted blade and handle. The 101 layered blade provides sharpness beyond compare with extremely long lasting edge retention. Comfortable birch handle is carried over to the honing steel. Visually appealing block set.

I absolutely love this block set. The Birchwood knife is such a beautiful piece of Japanese art, with the look of the Birchwood handle to the flower Damascus design of the 101 layers of steel on the blade, this definitely stands out in any kitchen. Once you’ve one of the Birchwood knives, you’ll never want to go back to what you were using, they are that impressive.

Stunningly beautiful and handles just as well. Sharp and durable!! I love the damascus overlay!! Made in Japan. Every detail is fine workmanship.

Just love this Japanese design and will add to the block as more Birchwood are available. Contemporary with an Asian Flair. A bit expensive, but worth every dollar.

What a show stopper! This block set is absolutley beautiful. The bamboo block really shows off the Birchwood handles on the knives.
Great combination of knives to choose from in the block and all of the perform well above expections.

This is one of the most spectacular knife blocks in the market. The knives are made with an SG2 steel which creates a scalpel like response. And the block has every knife you would ever need in a kitchen. Just beautiful!
