Great knives, mixed quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] knives are fantastic and very sharp right out of the box. Absolutely beautiful to look at, but many inconsistencies in the wood handles. Of course its natural to have some, but between knives there were vast differences and color tones. One knife came with a dent as well, but zwillings customer service had an easy exchange.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This block set is amazing. The Birchwood handles are stunning, and look great in my all white super modern kitchen. The design on each blade is truly a work of art, almost didn't want to use them.....but I do!
They are extremely sharp because of the Asian angle, as well as the SG2 steel. Easy to sharpen and maintain, but hand wash and dry. Love the fact that the set includes a bread knife, which I show off at dinner parties all the time. The all stainless kitchen shears are not the usual non impressive ones that you usually find in a block set.
This set is not only a work of art, but a wonderful addition to my kitchen.

A truly wonderful set

I was drawn to this set for two reasons. Function and design. The blades are super hard, super thin and Japanese made. The layered design gives them a distinct look. Because the handles are wood each one is distinctive and unique. The use of them is also amazing. I get such great and accurate results. Im glad there are spaces left open in the block so i can (and will) add more pieces.

Beautiful Sharp Knife

I didn't know much about Japanese knives but after seeing this knife I needed to know why I should add it to my collection. I was attracted by the beautiful and handle, but then to learn It had 100 layers of steel covering the core I realized this was a knife that would last a lifetime. SO comfortable to use, and the sharpness is like no other knife I have. I look forward to using this knife every time I need to work in the kitchen.

Incredible Knives

These knives are amazing. The natural birchwood are incredibly smooth and feel great in your hand. These are the sharpest knives I’ve ever used and make quick work of any prep that’s needed for a meal. These are truly something you’ll look forward to using as well as something you’ll want to show off to others. There’s a 100 layers of steel protecting the inner core that create an incredible design.
