[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Miyabi Artisan line. Didn’t realize how stressful chopping and slicing was before I upgraded to this line.
I have recently started baking bread, and decided to upgrade my bread knife. I was hesitant to spend the money on a bread slicer but am so glad I did. It slices through so smoothly without tearing the bread. And it cuts all the way through the crust easily, which was a problem with my previous bread knife. If you can afford the splurge I highly recommend this product!

Sharp and well Balanced

I bought this to replace my 41 year old Henckles 8" bread knife. The teeth on my old knife are pretty well worn down but the knife still works well, at least I thought it did. The new Miyabi knife is so much sharper! It's very well balanced and feels very comfortable in my hand. Since I'm already 73 years old and my last on lasted (and is still very usable) 41 years, I'm sure this will be the last bread knife I will have to buy. I use it for much more than bread. I use it for tomatoes, meat, other veggies, just about anything.

A great knife, makes a great gift

This is a great bread knife, and really lives up to expectations. I also use it for shredding cabbage, things like that. The balance is perfect and the feel is great.
