[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It just came so I have not used it yet, but it is very beautiful and seems very well balanced. The only downside is that it doesn’t come with a sheath, but that was an easy fix.

Excellent knife with wide versatility

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very fine craftsmanship. The edge retains its sharpness, and the balance certainly refined. The versatility is very wide, as there are a multitude of use cases, though I would be inclined to chicken and seafood, and soft cuts, more appropriate for a general chefs knife than a specialty instrument for larger volume use. This is an excellent knife and a great introduction to SG2 knives.

A gorgeous knife.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a stunning knife that everyone will ask where you bought it when they first see it. I really like the rounded natural birch handle and the handle notch when chopping veggies. It is balanced, light weight, but not too lightweight where you don’t feel the blade. It’s as useful as it is beautiful. I am curious on the aging of the wooden handle during use, so I will report back after a few years of use. Happy I found this knife!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Incredibly beautiful knife. Factory sharpness out of the box is extreme. Excellent bevel in the handle for my right hand. Comfortable and well balanced. Looking forward to my next miyabi birchwood.
