My go-to workhorse. Stays sharp

I. Have owned this knife for over three years and it is still my favorite knife in my kitchen. It is the only Japanese knife I own-all my other knives are Cutco, but I use this one nearly 90% of the time. It works for everything. I like that the weight ks between that of a western knife and a Japanese knife—sturdy enough to feel strong, but not so heavy as to tire you through long use. I find I need to sharpen it once a year. Regarding the rust spots-if you dry the knife with a towel and put it away after each use, it will not rust. ALWAYS hand wash and dry this knife… it is an investment and should be treated as such. Overall I couldn’t be happier with this knife.

Great knife.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently purchased, made the move from German to Japanese steel. Very light weight, and the rocking blade makes my cutting much easier. What I love most about this knife is that the blade is deeper than others, so I don’t hit my knuckles on my board. So far I love this knife!!

High end knife
