Serious Slicer

I love this knife for slicing and carving big cuts of meats - think brisket, whole sirloin, even a large turkey or flank steak. One effortless stroke and a beautiful thin slice will fall away. That's because this the quality of this knife - the blade in particular, is terrific. The hardness of the steel makes this knife stay sharp, so it is ready whenever you have the need.
The Four Star line has been a part of Zwilling’s lineup forever. It was designed with professionals in mind, so the focus was on safety, comfort and durability. The ‘grippy’ polypropylene handle is proportionate to the blade and the work - therefore no excess weight. The blade steel and method of construction is proprietary and at the forefront of technology. The blade can both take a beating and hold an edge, ideal for daily use and hard work. These knives have all the features of world class knives, because they are - world class knives.
Although dishwasher safe, all knives perform and look better if they are hand washed. I’ve had a Four Star in my collection for decades. And it still looks almost new.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This slicer is an improvement on the standard. The Four Star handle is very comfortable to hold and the texture of the material gives me confidence in my grip. The German construction and forged steel blade make a strong blade that is extremely sharp. The flexibility allows for easy movement around bone when working with a crown roast or rib roast. Its also great for smoked fish. The blade holds its edge for a long time and is easy to maintain.
Had my first 10 in. slicing/carving knife for close to forty years without any issues. Unfortunately it got jammed up in a drawer and the blade snapped while trying to extract it. I was glad to find out it could still be replaced after all those years. Thank you for making such a fine product.
