A superior knife!

One cannot go wrong in purchasing a Bob Kramer knife! I say this knife glides through meats and food, not cuts or slices! It feels great in my hand w/ optimum comfort and control. And with 101 layers and a beautiful design, this is one to show to friends. He makes only exceptional knives and this one is no exception.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bob Kramer designed the handle of Meiji to be used by both right-handers and left-handers. The angles of the handle mirror the palm and give you a great grip on this knife. Made in Japan with FC61, ice-hardened twice, this knife is sharp out of the box and will retain it's sharpness longer due to the durability.

comfortable handle

As with all Bob Kramer knives, the quality of the blade is exceptional. This one has an FC61 core which holds an extremely sharp edge while remaining durable. But the handle on the Meiji is what makes this even more special, it is shaped to mirror the feel of the palm of your hand for the most comfortable cutting experience.

Superior Durability

This Bob Kramer design is simply stunning and so durable. It has FC61 steel and uses the Damascus pattern for added durability. This knife is one of the sharpest you'll own, but luckily it also is extremely durable. I have never had any issues with chipping.

Not just a beautiful piece of art, with the Damascus steel and dark wood carved handle; it’s a chef knife made by the standards of Bob Kramer! Being fortunate enough to own one of these is a privilege; sharp, well-balanced, and great to work with. Ambidextrous design makes it a must have!

A functional piece of art

This knife will strike you with it's beauty and as soon as you pick it up, you can tell how much love and attention was put into the design. The handle is made so that when you pick it up, it perfectly sits in your hand with a ridge that fits into your knuckles with the most comfortable feel. This knife is made for right handed people, so if you are left handed, I would try using one before you purchase this.

Tough, Sharp Blade

Unique look but unbelievable traditional balance and feel. nothing shows on blade when done working. 100 protective wraps does the trick. Handle fits/stays in place in your hand.

This is a unique knife even for Bob Kramer. The flat sided handle makes sure that you have a good grip in the knife and allows you to have very precise cuts. The blade design is beautiful and definitely stands out from any other Damascus style knife. This knife is also VERY sharp and holds that sharpness for a long time.
