Another beautiful knife from Kramer. Though this knife is a little too lightweight for my preference, this mega sharp blade cuts through everything like butter. The unique handle takes some getting used to as far as the feel of it but the knife really makes prep work easy!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Meiji by the Master

Master Bladesmith Bob Kramer has merged East and West with the Meiji series. The blade profile is done in a unique 101 layer Damascus pattern. D- shaped Pakkawood handle has a more pronounced ridge for a better grip and angled back.

Unique chef knife

This is a really unique chef knife. The handle shape really fits perfectly in the palm of my hand, a shape that I’ve never seen in another knife collection outside of the Meiji. With it having 100 layers of stainless steel, this knife cuts so smoothly and beautifully, not tearing but clean slicing, and dicing. It looks beautiful and it's a great Japanese knife.

Made by the master, it's worth the money! You know when you have an exceptional tool...this is one of them. Easily cuts through food. Feels amazing and solid in your hand.

I have never held a knife handle just like Meiji. It feels great in your hand and has a wide blade that covers more than a traditional narrow blade.

The 101 layer ladder damascus on these knives is beautiful. I like the wide blade and extended handle.
The exaggerated D shaped Handle was designed to not only fit comfortably into a right hand but a left hand as well. Very rare in Japanese knife designs.

A Unique Knife

This is one of my go to knives. I love the handle as the extended D shape is a great resting spot for your fingers. A just like the other Kramer knives is has a wide blade which I use as a food scrapper, of course turned over.

Kramer Perfection

With Bob Kramer's name on it, you know that it's a special knife. I am so impressed with this new steel (FC 61). It is extremely chip resistant; an important feature in a home where knives can sometimes be abused. It is incredibly sharp and holds it's edge really well. The wood handle is beautiful and has such a unique design; it fits right into the palm of my hand. When you're cutting with a Kramer, everything feels special.
