[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First knife out of the Meiji Kramer line-up for us, and it is such a workhorse. The blade is incredibly sharp right out of the box, not to mention B-E-A-utiful. What a joy to use; the handle is such an undersung feature - incredibly functional and easy to hold and use.

Best chef's knife I've held!

Damascus pattern is beautiful, feels great in my hand, perfect balance right in front of the bolster and absolutely laser sharp! This will definitely stay in my collection for the rest of my life! My only gripe is that there are tiny gaps where the tang meets the metal on the bolster but other than that, absolutely gorgeous!

This knife is not only very nice to look at, but also works very well in the kitchen. The grip feels very solid and steady in the hand, and overall the knife allows for a very fluid motion.
Finally, upkeep and cleaning have been quite easy!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just received this knife and I love it.. Very sharp out of the box.. Handle feels great.. Nice weight.. Glad i snagged it. Not mornally a fan of the japanese type handles but this thing fits perfect. Now to stay away so I do not buy more :)

I have owned this knife now for years, I am a Chef by trade and I love this knife. Handle fits my hand perfectly, it is beautiful to look at, cuts like a dream, and holds an edge like a champ.

Huge upgrade

First time purchasing a hundred dollars kitchen knife, and I'm pretty satisfy with the quality and aesthetics of it. I'd say it's a huge upgrade for me. It's such a pleasure when I use it to cut all sorts of stuff in the kitchen: bagel, veggies, meat, etc.
