Why did I wait so long!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the self sharpening feature. I also love the sand blasted textured handles, easy to grip and the knives are nicely weighted /balanced.
The only issue I have is that there are small discolored spots on some of the blades. The first time I used them to prepare a meal, I used a few different knives during the preparation, and I washed them by hand when I finished making the meal. Anyplace that there was a small spec of food on the blade, it discolored the blade. I can get the spots removed from the blades. I’m so disappointed that the metal got discolored in spots the very first time I used them. It was the first set of nice knives I’ve bought in 43 years.
Is there anything that can be done?
