I love cooking with braisers but I especially appreciate the glass lid and being able to keep track of the action going on inside my cast iron pan. The dark blue is such a classic color and goes really well with my kitchen theme. The cast iron creates a perfectly heated surface for so many of my favorite recipes making this braiser one of the most versatile pieces in my cookware collection.

Just the perfect size

I really like the glass lid with this pot. It's a nice change up from my other Staub pots with the solid lids.
The size is perfect for week night meals. I put this pan in a counter top convection oven. Just the right size!Dark blue is gorgeous!! love the Staub colors!

Watch your food being cooked!

This Perfect Pan to ave a perfect view from the outside while your food is being cooked! It is deep enough not just for braising, you can also saute', stir fry, deep fry and mostly everything and it is cast iron that holds heats evenly.

Great Size for Braising Meats

This is a beautifully designed Staub Braiser. I really like that I can sear meat in it, add some broth & vegetable and just let it simmer...heavenly! Glass Lid is a plus and love the Dark Blue Color.

I most recently made a bouillabaisse in this pan and it turned out perfectly! Love the glass lid, so you can more closely watch the cooking process. The handles make for easy oven --to-table serving! Love this pan and can't wait to try more recipes in it!

Terrific braiser! Doubles as a fry pan and more!

This tidy little 3.5-qt braiser is perfect for a couple of chicken breasts, a pan of vegetables. But I have used it for much more - home fries in the morning get nice and crispy. Mac & cheese, scalloped potatoes or any casserole.
Staub's Dark Blue is a rich beautiful blue. Looks stunning on the table - or sitting on your stove.

perfect braiser

This pan does it all, I can use it to sear my meats to get a nice fond built up then slowly add braising liquids, letting everything come together for a flavorful meal. the glass lid is perfect to let you see the food as it cooks, I just really wish there was a way to keep all the liquid in when you have to lift the lid for a moment.

Great lid

This lid really makes this piece for me. Because it is a dome shaped, I can fit big pieces of meat in there with no problem without worrying about if the lid is going to fit or not. The moisture retention is wonderful.
