This braiser is versatile and beautiful—and it cooks like a dream. It’s been in the pan rotation in my kitchen every day since it arrived, including for three dishes for Thanksgiving. I’ve used it in the oven and on the stovetop to make shakshuka, (best ever) grilled cheese, roasted chicken breasts, stir fry, seared salmon, balsamic caramelized onions, fried liver, crispy potatoes, and lots more. It lives on my stovetop! After using, I wash it gently with a dishcloth and regular dish soap, dry it with a kitchen towel, and then smear a couple drops of oil into the inside surface to keep the enamel conditioned. Still looks and works like new. Definitely my favorite pan.

My husband got me a Staub set last year and this is my favorite piece! I have a family of 4 and I use this every day! I will scramble eggs for brunch and then for searing steak on the stove top then sliding the pan into the over to finish cooking at dinner. You can't go wrong with the braiser with glass lid.

[Employee of zwillingonline] The latest acquisition for my collection of Staub cast iron cookware. I find cast iron superior to other materials : it makes tastier juicier food, requires considerably less oil, there is less cleanup, it looks good.

Bought this for myself after comparing brands for a very long time. Extremely happy with this style. It’s deep enough for so many things and heats evenly and quickly. Love that it has a lid and is beautiful to leave out.
