This set has everything you need. The built in sharpener helps keep your blades cutting like champs. It helps that they are labeled so that you get the right sharpening on the right blade! My new fav is the 5.5 prep knife! That little guy does a lot for a small knife. I like that I don't have to use my parer too much for small jobs, it stays sharper for paring when I need it! the rest of the assortment covers all the bases and the scissors from Henckels are always awesome!

Self Sharpening Block a New Must Have!

This block set has five of the most useful knife profiles plus shears and eight steak knives. Forged from high quality German steel these knives are corrosion and chip resistant and retain their sharp edge forever just by placing them in and out of the block. Each blade has a designated spot in the block. Nice profile on your counter.

I've always loved the Classic knife line because they're as close as you can get to the knives made in Germany at a fraction of the cost. They're forged knives made of German steel with a perfectly weighted blade and 3 rivet handle. The addition of the self sharpening block makes keeping them "out of the box" sharp a simple task. Pull a knife out and replace it...your knife is sharp. German engineering has mastered this technique and packaged it in a beautiful, dark block.

The Classic knife line is well Classic.
Well balanced, 3 rivet handled with a full bolster this is a great knife to have in your kitchen.
Made from German steel in Spain this is a great knife for the value.
The self sharpening is an added bonus to this block providing you with a sharp knife every time it's pulled out of the block!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Everything you want or need, all in one block! AND it's self-sharpening feature means no honing and other sharpening tools! The 8 steak knives are an added bonus, as not all blocks come with steak knives. Nice to have it all at your fingertips on the counter!
