Best knives

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my first set for my wedding 15 years ago, they are still awesome! I received these as a gift from my employer for 25 years of service. I packed up the older knives to give to my kids some day. I am so excited for this newer modern set. I love that there is a knife sharpener built in.

Great Value for a Great Knife

Having a knife sharp every time you need to use it is important. With this self sharpening set, that is what you get everytime you pull a knife to use, I didn't realize Spain was known for making great cutlery (the Classic is made in Spain) until I did a little research on my own. I decided to give these knives a try. There is a knife for every kitchen task. Having 8 steak knives is great. I think the time and money I save from not having to get these knives sharpened is worth a lot and feel those factors contribute to making this a great value for such good knives.

sharp and at the ready

I am so thrilled with this self sharpening block. My knives are always sharp and at the ready. The German steel and design really get the job done. This set literally has everything i need....even eight steak knives instead of four. This set makes my life so much easier.

Great Set for Straightforward Cooking

This is a terrific set, after all it comes with the best prep knives, a full set of steak knives and a self-sharpening block. If you don't need specialty knives - for boning or carving, this look no further. This set has all you need and it offers a very good value.
I really like my Henckels Classic knives. I've had mine for more than 20 years. These are forged knives made of quality steel. They have a triple riveted handle, a comfortable integrated bolster. Even if they aren't made in Germany, the steel is, and their quality is unquestionable.

Big Fan of the Classic!

Heavy, balanced knives constructed of top-grade Spanish steel almost holds candle to Pro S. Good mix of knives and a whopping 8 steak knives. The self-sharpening block works well.

Great knives with low maintance

I love how every time I take a knife out of this knife block, they are as sharp as the first time I used them because of the self-sharpening feature. There are pictures of the knifes next to the slot that is designed for each knife so that it makes it very easy to figure out where it goes. I love how the steak knives are made out of German steel in Spain. The set of 8 steak knives is also great.

The classic line is a little bit of a secret value - the knives are made in Spain with high quality German Steel. The blades are also forged from one piece of steel which makes for flexible, yet durable knives. The blade edges will also stay sharper, longer due to the ice hardening process. This set includes everything knife you need in a kitchen. There are also steak knives in the block.

This is a wonderful self-sharpening block at a value price that is not made in China. The block itself is very nice and even comes with steak knives.
