Great all-around cocotte!

Was drawn to the matte black color which works well w/ my new kitchen! But even more so, have this in another color & love the performance - cooks evenly & keeps everything moist! Have been using for soups & stews, and cannot wait to use for more fish/veggie dinners.

This Staub 4qt. size is perfect for a family of up to 4 people however depending on the occasion and dish. It'll fit a whole size of chicken or a good size roasting beef or pork.
Staub cast iron pots saves you another dish, you can serve your delicious dish straight to your table.The innovative lid features tiny spikes on the interior that continually release condensed liquid back onto the food, yielding moist, flavorful results. I also bought a staub trivet to protect my table from direct heat, it add another beautiful thing at your dinner table.
Staub cast iron smooth enamel bottom works on all stovetops, including gas, electric, glass, ceramic, induction, and halogen. Oven safe up to 900F/482C without lid, Lids are oven safe up to 500F/260C. It's unique, interior matte texture results in exceptional browning. Beautiful for either stainless steel or modern designed.

Has the appearance of raw cast iron...but enamel inside and out makes the piece clean far easier! Has dimples on lid that moisturize evenly.
