Cooks like a dream!

This is one of the most useful pots I own and I now use it almost daily. Everything I've cooked in it has been easy and delicious. It's also a beautiful addition to my kitchen and I leave it sitting on the stove just because it looks so nice! My only small complaint is that the knob they say is "nickel silver" has a strong gold tone that I dislike.
I bought 2 identical 4-qt Dutch ovens to keep at a vacation house. I have been using the same two for about 5 years, solely for bread making, using them once a week. They are the perfect size and high-quality workmanship. Staub does not recommend heating them empty, as most people do for breadmaking. I have always done that, and they have help up perfectly. I wouldn't go from very cold to hot and only from room temperature to cold water. Love these!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Staub Cast Iron 24cm Dutch Oven Review

I bought this mainly to make rice, and honestly… I wish I had bought it sooner. It has quickly become one of my favorite pots in the kitchen. The heat retention is amazing. Once it heats up, it stays hot and cooks the rice very evenly. When I make Korean-style pot rice, the grains turn out fluffy and moist, and the bottom gets that perfect crispy layer. It seriously makes the rice taste better than a regular rice cooker. My husband loves rice, and every time I use this pot he says the rice tastes so good 😊 It’s now the pot I reach for most often. The lid is another thing I love. It keeps moisture inside so the food stays tender and flavorful, which makes it great not only for rice but also for stews and braised dishes. It’s also beautiful enough to bring straight to the table for serving. The only downside is the weight—it’s definitely heavy. But once you get used to it, the quality and cooking results make it totally worth it.
Beautiful, sturdy, portable, but large enough for family cooking. I have just started using it, but I am really enjoying this size compared to my larger 7qt pot. I think I will end up using this more often for smaller batches of food. I am looking forward to deep frying and baking bread in this cutie! The knob is slightly champagne, whereas my other Staub is pure silver. It's so charming!

This is was given to me today as a Christmas gift and is my second Staub Cocotte! The first, which I use frequently, is the 7 QT in Grenadine used mainly for larger meals. This 4 QT size is perfect for smaller meals made for two or even one person. The quality is outstanding! Definitely an heirloom piece to pass down.

I love this pot. It's my go to piece for every recipe I pull out. It works so well for so many things. I even made homemade bread and it was incredible. I will definately purchase another piece in a different size.

Love, Love this pot. Ideal for bread-making, small batches of soup and chili. If you want leftovers, size up. Easy clean up. No seasoning necessary. Own and enjoy if for a lifetime!
