[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used Zwilling Pro-S line for years. This knife takes it up to a new level. It is much sharper, lighter-weight and pleasure to hold. The wood handle will darken with usage so if that's a problem, pick another Miyabi line

Will cut ripe tomatos into paper

This is a very sharp knife! The sharpest I have ever used. It is so sharp that it literally sounds and feels different, cutting through vegetables. Almost silent when hitting the cutting board because the minimal pressure that is used for slicing.
