This gorgeous Birchwood handle will need a little extra care with hand washing and drying but it is oh so worth it! With an SG2 steel core that will stay razor sharp use after use you will wonder how you ever used anything else. The Santoku profile is one of the the most popular blades for all chopping jobs. 100 additional layers of steel create the damascus pattern that is handcrafted in Seki, Japan by skilled artisans.
This Miyabi Birchwood Santoku Kinfe is beautifully designed and cuts amazingly well. I would definitely recommend it if your looking for a top quality Santoku.
Great chopper, dicer and slicer of veggies! The handle on these knives feel so secure and smooth in your hand and look absolutely beautiful over time. The 101 layer Damascus is stunning and gives the knife a nice balance. Super fine edge is very sharp and stays sharp with proper care and occasional sharpening.
Blade features a Katana edge scalpel-like sharpness, hand-honed using the traditional 3-step Japanese Honbazuke method. The potent core of SG2 micro-carbide powder steel is protected by 100 layers of steel. 5000MCD, Cryodur ice-hardened; 63 Rockwell hardness, flower Damascus pattern provides added durability. Every Miyabi knife does need extra care, it need proper TLC!
Chop, slice and mince to perfection with this beautiful, sharp and durable knife. The birchwood, rounded handle feel very comfortable and you can use this knife for great length of time and never get tired!
This in the santoku to have. Beautiful Japanese crafted blade and handle. Sharpness beyond compare with extremely long lasting edge retention. Knife glides through everything placed on the cutting board.
I fell in love with this Miyabi line the first time I picked one up. Miyabi Birchwood is a beautifully hand-crafted and made of the one of the best steels for kitchen knives. The smooth birchwood handle fits my hand perfectly; and the inset emblem is an elegant touch. But the part I really love is the blade. The exquisite flower patterned blades belie their hardness, their ability to keep an edge, their gleam. What a joy. This santoku is the real deal. The shape of the blade is like the ones I grew up with. Good for chopping. Enjoy this knife for a lifetime.
