My daughter gave me this set for Mother’s Day. After having used the same knives for 42 years, this is a wonderful treat. This set has everything we need, and the block is not bulky. The knives are incredibly sharp and easy to use. Would highly recommend.

Love everything about this entire set, can’t believe I went this long using cheap knives! High quality heave sturdy steel, extremely sharp. Perfect tools for any kitchen!

They literally will last a lifetime!

Have had my roll of Henckels 5 star for about 50 years, bought when I was at Cornell Hotel School for a summer job at the Boulders Inn, in New Preston CT. I bought a set for my mom soon after, and she used them on a Chinese cooking show in NJ. When I did long distance yacht racing, like Newport-Bermuda, Port Huron-Mackinac, Chicago-Mackinac, and the Newport Ensenada Race, I'd bring a few knives too. I still use them daily for home cooking, maintain them myself, and only sent out for professional sharpening maybe 5-6 times in 50 years. I have about 15 Henckels knives now and 1/2 as many Wusthof. No quibble on warranty replacement twice.

back in 1983 I asked a friend who was a chef at a high end restaurant what knoves he recommended--he showed me his four star Henckel Chefs knife and said if you want a knife that will last I recommend Henckels. I took that recommendation seriously and the next year started to receive them as my yearly gift from my Mother. I still have them and use them everyday. I have purchased this set for a wedding gift for friends in their 20's. I know they will both use them and they will last them a lifetime. If anything does happen to them they are lifetime replacement, no questions asked. Gotta love that.
