[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The knives themselves are great. Good design, balance, and sharp. The block set is a great value. 8 pieces for less than the price of just the three main Four Star knives (chef, bread, paring) and it includes the sharpening steel.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When I first picked one up, I was surprised by how lightweight it felt, but once I started to use it, I was surprised by the precision of the blade. I am very impressed and highly recommend.
