Lacks stability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very excited to try out our new knife set, I’ve been looking forward to have these knives shipped to me. Well yesterday was the day, as I open the box like a kid on Christmas morning, I opened the block first and sat it on the table. Then the scissors placed them into the knife block, I couldn’t control myself as I was getting to the mother load of knives. Never in my 34 years have I spent a decent chunk of change on a set a knives like I did on this one, to say I was ecstatic is an understatement. Opened up the smallest knife first, very sharp with a clean edge, looking pretty awesome if you ask me, but then I held it in my hand like I was about to use it. The feeling of this knife in my hand felt very weak, felt very thin, felt very disappointed. Well I convinced my self to open up the next knife thinking well maybe that small knife was just a fluke, the next size up HAS to be better, more sturdy, more solid. As I opened the one up, it yet again looked very shard and clean edge but then I placed it in my hand and the same disappointment came over me. It feels like if I attempted to cut an onion with this knife that the blade would bend and I would be flinging my hand out of the way to not get cut! Well hopefully the bread knife would be better.. The bread knife was a lot better but it’s a bread knife, I mean it doesn’t have to be anything special. Then I came to the big Mack daddy of them all, the big knife. Well that knife... that knife succeeded all my expectations. Felt like a man, holding this knife. I felt like I could do all those tricks at a hibachi grill with this knife in my hand. Now all I need is the hat and grill! Overall I’m a bit disappointed with this knife set solely on the fact that the smaller knives felt very cheap and need to be thicker and more sturdy. Thanks for reading my review! Time to get cooking!
