UNBELIEVABLE Value for Extraordinary Knives

I bought this set to give as a gift. I have personally used Four Star knives for over 30 years and love their ergonomics and find their quality to be absolute perfection. The knives included in this set are everything you need and nothing you don't. My personal set of Four Star's was put together piece by piece getting only what I needed. But my personal set includes EVERY knife included in this block. (I have a 6" Utility instead of the 5.5" Prep included in this set. But same difference. Every other knife I have is the same.) The knives included here make up 99% of what I use. I only have one knife not included in this set, a Santoku, but honestly, I almost never use it.
Get this set for life. It's an unbelievable value for a fantastic knives.

Bought this knife block set for my husband to replace an old, non-Zwilling, handed down set we received many many years ago. Love the clean natural block look. The sharp well-constructed knifes makes for a much happier husband cooking in the kitchen. Thank you!

A solid starter set

While the set is arguably incomplete, leaving room in the block for more knives, the quality and selection of knives in the set is superb. The knives are sharp, well finished, and the handles are balanced and simple.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Benchmark For German Forged Cutlery

My original 4-Star 8" Chef Knife is now about 35 years old. Because I have faithfully used a steel on it, it has only required actualsharpening once, about 5 years ago. It's in daily use, and still passes the paper slicing test with ease. I have another full set in our Hawaii rental house, and they get abused, but luckily not dishwashered. I just re-sharpened those, and was able to remove several chips on the blades of the chef, santoku and prep knife and rebuild their edge with a belt sharpener and ceramic hone. That's not a fault in the knives or the steel, that's a benefit. Harder steel, like a Japanese blade, would be far more damaged in that kind of use. Putting high quality knives in a rental was crazy I was told, but we get comments frequently from guests who know and appreciate the value. That Zwilling 4-Starr knives can survive in that kind of environment is a real testament to their quality and longevity. There may be fancier-handled knives, and certainly more exotic and expensive blades, and I have some of those as well, but to my mind there are none really any better functionally. And that is why I consider the 4-Star knives the Benchmark.

These knives 🔪 make easy work of everything.. with a fantastic block set plus room for extra knives.. These knives are very very sharp!! Well balanced, Excellent single forged blades!!
