This black matte 12" fry pan will fit in with any kitchen decor. The exterior matches the excellent nonstick enameled cooking surface that is perfect for browning and searing...just what you want in a fry pan! I use my 12" to bake homemade pizzas in for the perfect crust every time!

Cast iron excellence. I love the pour spouts for draining off some fats and simple transferring to a serving dish! Brown chicken breasts without drying them out!! Sear steaks and burgers to crusty outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Great pan with the helper handle gives it some balance. It's a heavy duty pan!!

This cast iron skillet is so versatile. Double handle for more control when transferring your delicious food to your beautiful staub cast iron plate and keep it warm in the oven. A spout is so useful to keep those juice in the right place and dishwasher safe, handwashing is highly recommended. It will quickly become your go-to cooking vessel, perfect for sauteing, and frying. Unlike Grandma's prized fry pan, Staub enameled cast iron does not require pre-seasoning. The cooking surface provides perfect searing, browning and caramelization. Ideal for frying Grandma's famous fried chicken or baking her cornbread recipe.

I love to use this frypan for chicken breasts, dredge in seasoned flour, skin side down with some butter in the pan. Fry until it sizzles, then move to the oven for 20 minutes. Turn the breasts over and let them rest on the rib bones, bake another 30 minutes. The drippings then make an amazing pan gravy. Whenever the kids see this pan they always ask for the baked chicken in a pan!
I love the fact that this is enameled making it virtually non-stick. I also love the size. I debated between the 10" and 12" and decided on the 12" and am glad I did.
The fry pan needed more oil for sautéing than I expected. I thought after the initial use that the sautéing or frying eggs the sticking to the pan would improve but it has not. I don’t know if this is normal. I own other ZWILLING cast iron pots and I have not experienced the sticking.
