These classically shaped, straight-edge steak knives well slice through all your favorite meats - whether they are prepared rare or well done. They will also glide through a beefsteak tomato and a tender crisp asparagus. They are a very good quality and are a very good price.
I really like Henckels Classic knives; I've had a set for more than 20 years. These are forged knives made of quality steel. They have a triple riveted handle, a comfortable integrated bolster. Even if they aren't made in Germany, the steel is, and their quality is unquestionable. I recommend hand washing so always look like new. Hone them regularly and sharpen maybe once a year.
These knives are so sharp that they are super easy to use and they make having a dinner party nice so that all the guests aren't sawing at their meat. The knife gracefully glides through the meat and the handles make them very comfortable to use.
Although not quite the same German stainless as the Pro or Pro S steak knives, this Spanish-made version is almost up there. Sharpens crazy sharp and forged for balance.
I love this value line! These steak knives are great and stay sharp. They cut super well and are made from high quality stainless steel. I even through them in the dishwasher and they have held up. Also a plus they are made in Spain.
Great steak knives. I have 4 in my knife block but it's always nice to have extras. I love that this company offers the change to add to the set. In addition to 4 more steak knives, I have added a few other kitchen knives. These steak knives are really terrific, they cut meat really easily. they look much more expensive than they really are too. Great steel, comfortable handle and really sharp cutting edge, winner all around
Henckels Classic knives are a good value because you get the forged, special formula German steel for a better price because they're manufactured in Spain. This steel is harder, stays sharper and is more corrosion resistant than lower quality steels. These have a fine edge if you're looking to be able to sharpen your steak knives.
I wanted good steak knives because we love to grill steaks. Nothing beats slicing into a steak with a fine edge knife; no tearing, just clean slicing.
I bought this set about 4 years ago because I love Classic and the value it provides. It is high quality, forged German steel. They are very sharp and have stayed that way. I resharpen them every few weeks. Forged knives have a little more heft to them, which is what we wanted.
