This pan lives on top of my stove, has its own burner, that is how much I love and use this versatile pan. You can use it like a wok, a deep fryer, a saute pan, a risotto pan, its uses are only limited by one's imagination. I like the warming/draining rack that comes with it and also use it for melting cheese on hamburgers that I have made in the pan. Once the burgers are done, you can place your cheese on them and move them to the rack, put the lid on and the residual heat will get the job done! I am always using this pan, it is the "perfect pan."

Not Just for Stir Fry

Yes I use this pan for stir fry and its amazing but there are so many other uses. I use it for stews, especially seafood stews. The pan has great heat capability, actually can be used up to 500F on any cooking surface. I have even pan fried a steak in it but my biggest secret is baking bread in it.

Versatile Vessel!

Not called perfect pan for nothing! Can do just about everything. Heavy enough not to move around while stirring(which keeps heat consistent) Nice glass lid and height keeps grease/oil from sloshing everywhere

Really a Versatile Perfect Pan

The wok shape has survived for centuries because it works. This pan will really work for anyone who likes to cook and try a variety of styles. Great for braising, saute, steaming, stir frying, searing and don't forget, ideal for deep frying. The best part of these Staub cast iron pans is they look great on the table. They are perfect for one-pot cooking.
Great wedding and house warming gift.

Beautiful Wok!

I use this pan as a wok to stir fry vegetables and I just love how deep and wide this pan is. I also love how it comes with the glass cover so I can steam food if I want to. I love how it is cast iron and retains heat well for a long time.

PERFECT pan!

this is the best name because it really is the perfect pan. It worked great for me to deep fry chicken for saucing, the resting grate makes draining easy without wasting perfectly clean oil on a paper towel. The shape is great for stir fry too but cast iron is not as quick to heat up for that. But, it does stay hot much longer than my other wok

The multitasker

This pan can literally do everything, so I think the name is pretty fitting. It can work as a wok, or a grill, a steamer. You can make doughnuts it in. If you can think of it, it can do it. I would highly recommend this addition in any household for a variety of cooking options. We love it in our house!

Use it for just about everything

The question isn't what do I make in this pan but rather what don't you make in this pan. I reach for it for stir fry, taco meat, steaming veggies (with lid) or even baking bread. The black interior behaves almost like non stick because it's so easy to clean up. The handles are generous and comfortable for placing in and out of the oven.
