Staub wok perfect pan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a new wok as we got an induction range. I’d liked my prior wok but this one outdoes the other one-There’s a nice rack to keep food warm while cooking other ingredients. The lid is great for steaming vegetables. Absolutely love this pan

Better than expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace a nonstick wok pan that I had been using for years and had to continually replace. I also wanted to start moving away from using any nonstick products. This is my first Staib product and this pan has exceeded my expectations and has become our new favorite that we use daily. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and not as heavy as I anticipated.

Great for deep frying

Even though this pan is a wok, I find it to be a terrific deep fryer. The sides are high enough to heat up a quart of oil which means I can use it for homemade donuts, mozzarella sticks, chicken wings, and any and every item needed for football season.
The cast iron keeps the heat at an even temperature, which prevents greasy and soggy fried foods. The size is perfect for batch frying, and comes with a great rack to set the fried food on to let drain back in the pain.
Loves this pan, and also a great wok.

The perfect pan is just that, PERFECT! It is so versatile. Of course, perfect for stir fry but we also use it to heat soup, steam, deep fry, and we even cook burgers in it. The heat capability of the pan is amazing - heats up quickly and evenly. The black matte finish creates beautiful searing in any dish.

At first glance this pan looks just like a wok but its great for so many things. I love making risotto in this pan. I keep my liquid hot in my Staub 4qt and cook the rice in this one. The matte interior really rubs the rice grains bringing out more of the starch so i get creamier risotto without as much dairy at the end. Its also great for frying as is all cast iron but the drip rack is great for making tempura shrimp and vegetable and zeppoles.

Truly the perfect pan

It's all in the name! This pan lends it's use for all of your cooking from sauteing, steaming, stirring, and braising. It's perfect for burger night and taco night! The meat tastes so exceptional when browned in the perfect pan. It is also handy for veggies, rice, stir fry and soups and sauces. The only question is what color do you want?
