I bought this trying to solve a printer head issue on a brand new printer, that I've all but printed three black ink only pages. Color ink wouldn't print. Machine kept telling me ink was low. I had the cartridges that came with the machine so I ordered new cartridges thinking my printer issues would be resolved. Installed these new cartridges and machine continued to print with faint ink and stripes of missing ink. Put machine through printhead cleaning a few times. By only doing this, machine notifies me that I am now low on color ink!! I have never been able to print a page with color in it. In addition, the black ink prints faded with sections missing. HP also terrorizes cuatomers having their machines send out threatening messages saying that counterfeit or refilled cartridges are detected. This was not the case for me, so it's very insulting to get these messages. Can a car company dictate to us what kind of oil or gas we can use? It's the same premise. They try to intimidate us into buying their useless cartridges. I hate this printer and will never buy HP again.
