[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After years of cooking 15 years to be exact with dexter knives and all sorts of cheap carbon knives I decided to upgrade to a real company sharpness is fantastic clean slices on chicken breast weight feel and handle just great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 40 years ago, when I was cooking professionally, I bought my first set of Henkel knives. I still use them every day at home, and keep them nice and sharp. Now circumstances have conspired to give us a smaller second home close to family we can visit. So. News knives. This new boning knife is a bit different than my 40 year old one, but it sings like it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I love and am so glad I made the splurge to purchase this boning knife. It’s super sharp and also very well constructed with a comfortable handle. I can’t wait to put it to use and start breaking down some fish and meats with this knife.
This boning knife is the most flexible one the market. Love how it can glide around bones, and skeleton. Nice curved bolster which feels great in the hand, and doesn't rub against fingers. Extremely sharp German steel with a lifetime warranty. This knife makes removing silver skin from beef and pork so easy. In the past I truly struggled to get every last drop off the meat, but this knife makes it effortless. Great puchase.
Steak knife are use this boning knife as a steak knife when I ate over my friends house I know that people say oh no I can’t do that you can do whatever you want with any of your knives I prefer a little larger steak knife that’s me, but this works just as good why not buy a whole set and put it in your steak knife slots I prefer a larger knife when I’m cutting or doing my meals it’s just the way I am I’d like the large bread knife I like to large slice a knife and the large chef knife that’s why I did not buy the set that they sell because they’re too short and I have much more control with the large knives so I bought them individually they cost more but who cares this is a set that I’m gonna keep the rest of my life until I die so why not have something that you prefer take a good look at all the knives that they have and you can see the style and the make and even call them, and ask them they won’t do you wrong I am very happy with that particular knife to I hope that they will still produce the 1731 set I think they’re beautiful plus one customer said he’s going to hand it down when he passes away I hope the person that gets that set will understand what they’re getting and I know it’s a limited set so it may not be available any longer getting back to the 5.5 boning knife it was a great knife for my steak also, John.
So many boning knives are clunky and not attractive. The design on this one is superb. The blade is super thin but durable and has just enough give to get close to the bone. The german steel really stands up and it stays very sharp. I like the curved bolster, it keps me using a good grip.
