This is the perfect size for a chef's knife. I gave it to a friend as a gift and he told me he uses it all the time. Good Balance & comfort.

The Four Star series is a great group of knives overall. They stay sharp, have a full, straight bolster that gives control and comfort and made with the Friodur ice-hardening process, so the steel stays hard, yet flexible. I love the 6" Chef for any task, as it is easier to handle in my small hand.

Sometimes an 8 chef can be too much for smaller tasks in the kitchen. where the 8 inch isn't a great pick, the 6 inch comes right in to play to handle it! Love the smaller chef knife.

Great knife, great size

I Iknow that some kitchen knives are heavier and look more traditional with the 3 rivets in the handle, but honestly this one feels so much smoother and is easier to hold. I love the handle on this knife! Maybe because my hands are on the small side or maybe just having the rounded corners make this is the perfect knife for me. It cuts so much better than any other brands I've had over the years. I hear these are made to last a lifetime, that's good cuz I won't ever buy another brand!

Not to Big, Not to Small

This is perfect for a smaller hand, its the shape of an 8" chef but just a tad bit smaller. The knife is made from German Special Formula Steel, also forged from one piece of steel so durable for a lifetime. Its also ice hardened so blade will stay sharper for a longer period of time. The handle is comfortable and not slippery when wet.

Best all around knife

If you only have room in your budget and kitchen for one knife, this should be it! This chef's knife can truly do it all and I like how it isn't too big so that don't feel like it is unwieldy and I can keep it under control. I also love the handle on this knife because it is very comfortable and the curve at the end of the knife makes me feel secure when I'm cutting.

Forged and balanced German stainless steel proven for years. For those who don't always use the bigger brother, this knife behaves like a broad utility knife with handle that fits most..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This knife is without a doubt one of the nicest knives I've ever been able to use. It is handle heavy which makes it incredibly easy to control the tip of the knife. Making dicing extremely easy.
