Super sharp knife

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this knife to complete the 7 piece set I bought the same day (07/2020). They are hands down the best knives I have ever used in my life. I cook a lot, and I didn’t know how hard I was working to chop veggies, until I got this knives.
They are super light in weight and are very sharp. This one fits perfectly in the set of 7.
The steak knives are not from Zwilling since I didn’t have enough to purchase them, but I will as soon as I have some fun money saved up to spend.

Size does matter

The length and 'feel' of a knife is a critical component to your contentment with it. This is a little small for me; I prefer a larger knife. However, I am not the one using this knife. I know many people - my cousin included - who will reach for the 6-inch chef's knife every time. The weight and the size of the grip are just right for her smaller hands. So if you're accustomed to shorter knives this is a great knife for your consideration. Because the quality is unquestioned.
There’s a reason the Four Star line has been a part of Zwilling’s lineup forever. It was designed with professionals in mind, so the focus was on safety, comfort and durability. The ‘grippy’ polypropylene handle is proportionate to the blade and the work - therefore no excess weight. The blade steel and method of construction is proprietary and at the forefront of technology. The blade can both take a beating and hold an edge, ideal for daily use and hard work.
Although dishwasher safe, all knives perform and look better if they are hand washed. I’ve had a Four Star in my collection for decades. And it still comes out for certain jobs. I expect it will be there for a while longer.

Does the same job and hopefully it will last years like the previous one which unfortunately was ruined by the Zwilling red mini sharpener. Best cutlery still, just get other kinds of sharpeners for them.

Slight disappointment but good knife

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this knife as a Christmas gift in 2021 after repeatedly badgering my father for a duplicate of his chef's knife. In something of a mix up, I got what appears to be the "economical" version of his knife, complete with a rigid plastic handle. While this knife is a tad less evenly weighted than the knife I was after (which I think is a letter or two off in in the model number), it's brilliantly sharp and still a good quality chef's knife for a beginner or a new homeowner - anything in that genre. Don't accidentally shave your finger pad off on first use like I did!
