Cord is too long for Apple CarPlay attachment. Audi makes a coiled one Which is a better fit from the center console) which I bought at first but the cable wouldn't fit into the power port because of the design of the Defender case.

Uh oh - sounds like this review was meant for one of our iPhone Xs Max cases rather than the OtterBox Lightning Connector! Regardless, we apologize that the case did not hold up to expectations. Occasionally, the volume buttons on a brand-new unit can be a little stiff at first, but after some time and use, they typically start to relax. However, if the material is actually not connecting to the phone itself, our Otter experts would love to take a closer look.
