The noise cancelling feature is really awesome. When I am riding the bus to work I can really immerse my self with the music I am listening to. And it's really a breeze connecting it to the iphone for the first time. In addition I did not have a problem connecting it to other devices. I also love the capability to use the stems of the airpods to turn on/off the noise cancellation, pause, next and adjust the volume.
Love the option of the different earbud sizes that come with this product for my sensitive ears and the volume control on the stem. Very disappointed after spending $329 on Apples latest and greatest wireless headphones that they would not include a charging cube. Like really Apple? Shall we expect our phones to start coming without chargers too? I found this rather cheap of Apple and quite an inconvenience to learn after the fact.
Very impressed by these headphones, I’ve owned several Bose headphones and these are better imo. Noise cancellation is fantastic, phone conversation are clear. High quality sound and hardware. 100% recommended.
For what you pay I’d expect better. There is realistically no guaranteed way to find them once you lose them, FindMy is basically useless. I’ve gone through 2 pairs in not even the past 2 years. The charging case quit on me the first time, and now when I’m noise cancellation, there’s a whirring sound that is quite irritating. I’d look for other options before purchasing these.
Many pros of the 2nd gen AirPod pros are the better sound quality, insane bass, the noise cancelling technology which cancels a lot more noice than the gen 1 airpod pros, and the cool “custom transparency mode” which works better on the new generation.
Some cons though would have to be the noise cancelling (which takes the sound waves and inverts them to cancel the noise) because some frequencies actually pass through the noice cancelling and can be quite loud and scary when all you hear is this really loud high pitched sound.
Another thing that I’m not a big fan of is how I can no longer use them for noise cancelling while playing drums because of those frequencies that pass through. (MANY pass through while playing drums because of all the high pitched cymbals)
The gen 2 pros are good for your every day use and for music. But the gen 1 pros offer an all around better noise cancelling experience
