P1 error every day.

The unit cools but every day I get a P1 error meaning the very bottom tray is full with water for some reason. I now have to lug this ridiculously heavy unit outside and empty it every day. The hose that was delivered with the unit doesn't work.

The unit will give a P1 error when it is set in dehumidifier mode, it just means that there is a considerable amount of humidity in the environment and the unit is trying to remove all of it. Under performed

Would not recommend. This portable air conditioner does in fact cool your room, slowly, but does not dehumidify. After running this unit for 10 hrs, very little water exited the drain. While running this unit, our humidity increased significantly, making the room uncomfortable. I switch it out with a 8000 BTU portable AC from a big box store and it is far superior in terms of cooling and dehumidifying. Midea product is a fail.

The amount of moisture collected is dependent on the humidity levels in the air. Please note that this mode is preset and cannot be manually adjusted. God awful high frequency noise when cooling

Well the unit looks nice and has strong cooling capabilities. But immediately upon switching it into cooling mode a very high frequency ear piercing sound is noticeable above the hum of the fan. It stops immediately when you switch it into regular fan mode but starts again as soon as it's put back into cooling mode. Seems to be coming from inside the unit. I've only had it for 1 day now and I'm not sure I can deal with that if continues again tomorrow.

Quietest than any portable AC I've had, and cools much better than my previous units. Love that the compressor and exhaust fan ramps down in low mode for whisper operation. It does have a bit of a high pitch whine from the inverter that may be annoying to some in low mode. It's fine for me. Installed into a patio door. Included hardware wasn't long enough so I had to to fab up a cover. My only complaint is the tube being so bulky with the horizontal adapter that it butts up against the frame of the door. Wish Midea would provide an extension piece or more options on mounting.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sounds like a jet engine

I hate this thing. Hate. Hate hate hate. Bought it because it was supposed to be the quietest available. This is awful. Louder than than the one I bought 5 years ago for half the price. Oh and it runs and runs. Set to 70 and currently icing the room over at 63. JUNK

Loud Rattle or rumble when cooling

This unit costing me over $600 was purchased to replace another portable ac that was sooo loud, and an energy hog. Although costing me less in electricity, that loud rumble reverberation is very annoying! It does it every time it comes on, then settles down. But as the temperature rises it has to kick in again, and again. I've currently got iron automatic, cool setting but it does this regardless of setting. The manual does not offer me any information l would not have spent so much money on this had I known!

Great unit. Cools better than expectes

Great air conditioner. Easy install and easy to move around. Cools half the house (initially bought to cool main living room/dining/kitchen area) which is a bonus. Don't even need to use lowest cooling setting. This unit is awesome.
