Not much improvement

The Embr 2 is a little more sleek and stylish, but it is still clunky. The cooling feature is not much better than the Embr 1. I feel the initial wave of cool then none of the subsequent waves. I don't feel either of the Embrs are worth the price.

No smart phone

I like the round shape, the wave with square corners bruised my wrist a few times. I wish that I did not need a smart phone to download your app to adjust the temperature. I can use only the factor settings and wish I could try it at a cooler temperature.

Hey Barbara! You can adjust the temperature level on your Wave 2 using the buttons: use the dotted button to make things cooler and the blank button to make things warmer. If you're able to temporarily install the app on a friend's phone, you can set your device presets to change the default sessions that the buttons trigger (whether you want to keep one cooling and one warming or change both to cooling or both to warming)! But either way, you can definitely adjust the temperature level without the app now :-)

Good but not perfect

This device works much better than the first generation Wave. The app is really nice and it provides you a great way to get set up with the heating or cooling program that you want. You can also use it to set the default programs you want to use with the two physical buttons on the device, and that makes things super easy.
Batteries are great and the device works for a long time before recharge. Though I don't need it often, the eight hour overnight sleep cycle seems nice but leaves the battery nearly empty at the start of the day which isn't super convenient as there is a proprietary charger that I would prefer to not move between the house and work.
One down side, the device still can't cool if it is too hot. Which can happen on your wrist if you are outside in the sun. Which is unfortunate as that is one of the times that you want the Embr Wave to work!
I am glad that I have the Embr Wave though I expect more use from it in the winter as I generally need it more for warming than cooling

Embr Wave 2 - The cool cools!

Fantastic. I basically only use the cooling function and I love it. I am a horrible overheater and I find the hot flashes mode helps me cool down quicker than I would otherwise.
My partner goes to grad school and was going to be in AC'd buildings all day so she took the wave and used the heating... saved her day. I am foreseeing many fights between us for who gets the wave for the day.

Great new addition to the wave catalog

Comparatively to the first wave this is a far better product. It’s sleeker and far more efficient. I’d recommend this product to anyone that wants to be slightly more comfortable. The band it comes with is magnetic which have always been finicky for me. But if you’ve had success with magnetic bands in the past this is all the same.
Not many people will use on a motorcycle. But I have and it’s efficient. But the band doesn’t support well at high speeds unfortunately

I am cool again...

I have hot flashes. I have had them for years. I dread the moment when sweat starts dripping from my body and I am not able to cool down. Well, friends, my life is better because of the EMBR Wave 2. From the moment I put the cooling device on and activated it I realized I have a piece of ice for my wrists whenever and wherever I may be. I finally have a tool to help control my hot flashes. I am in love with the Wave 2 and have been recommending and showing it off to all my friends and family. This little device has already changed my life for the better. THANK YOU!

The embr wave 2 is sleek in design and fits more comfortably on my wrist. I do have to admit that the embr 1 gets cooler faster and lasts longer in my opinion. I don't use the heat setting so being able to make both buttons cool is great. Also, the buttons are on the side as opposed to the wave 1 that was on the top and would accidentally get pressed if I was carrying things.
