Many Improvements

The integration with software is really the major upgrade, here. My wife loves that she can set an overnight routine on her phone and let the Embr Wave 2 cool her unattended while she sleeps. However, it seems to cool a little less than the first model (or have less tolerance for max cooling) and require more time to recharge. The streamlined physical design is also much improved and most welcome!

The new EMBR WAVE 2 performs beautifully in botjh cooling and warming modes. I’ve used it to cool me down on the golf course and to warm me up at night. I set it for 7 hours and I am comfortable the entire night! It’s easy and quick to charge, very sleek and comfortable. Being able to set it from the app on my phone is very convenient. I’m planning to relax with it on the next long car trip!

The Wave 2 almost never leaves my wrist!

I don't usually leave product reviews. But this device really has changed my life. As someone who overheats at night and gets cold very easily during the day, regulating my temperature has always been difficult. With the Wave 2 I can discreetly warm or cool as needed and my overall mood has just drastically improved. If you have thermoregulation issues, this is the solution! Also, it's a very stylish accessory, that's a plus!

Disappointing

I like the design of the new Embr Wave 2. It's more attractive and smaller than its original, and I do prefer the new charger even.
My main disappointment is that it's advertised as having more cooling power, but it I feel it's substantially weaker than the original Embr Wave. If I do not have it on the max coolness, I genuinely feel nothing.
I have also noticed that the battery life is much worse. With the original, I used it for "Sleep Mode" for the 8 hour setting and use for "Essential" mode several times throughout the day, and still only have to charge it every other day or less. With the Embr Wave 2, I have to charge daily to even use it just for Sleep Mode, without any use throughout the day for "Essential."
All in all, I will probably continue using the original. It was a much better investment.

We've passed this along to our support team to see if they can help, since it does sound like your Wave 2's battery is not lasting as long as expected. For cooling, one thing to check would be where the Wave is positioned on your arm/wrist. While our testing showed that the slightly smaller ceramic plate of the Wave 2 made cooling sensations feel more intense compared to Wave 1, it does mean that it can be easier to miss the "sweet spot" on your arm that will be most receptive to cooling. We hope a little nudge in the right direction might make all the difference for you!

It’s way more comfortable than the gen 1 and gives your wrist more flexibility. I like the little blue light when it’s actively cooling to remind me of keeping cool in my mind as well.

It's early for a thorough review, but so far I'm impressed. Easy setup, easy to charge. It has a smaller footprint than version 1, and the app works very well (syncs easily, very intuitive menu). I also like that you can control manually as an option as well. Charger pad is small and uses USB-C, which is perfect. No regrets and I look forward to using this a lot in the future - for hot environments and stressful situations.
