Disappointing

I like the design of the new Embr Wave 2. It's more attractive and smaller than its original, and I do prefer the new charger even.
My main disappointment is that it's advertised as having more cooling power, but it I feel it's substantially weaker than the original Embr Wave. If I do not have it on the max coolness, I genuinely feel nothing.
I have also noticed that the battery life is much worse. With the original, I used it for "Sleep Mode" for the 8 hour setting and use for "Essential" mode several times throughout the day, and still only have to charge it every other day or less. With the Embr Wave 2, I have to charge daily to even use it just for Sleep Mode, without any use throughout the day for "Essential."
All in all, I will probably continue using the original. It was a much better investment.

Hey Spencer, thanks for your candid feedback — we appreciate it! We've passed this along to our support team to see if they can help, since it does sound like your Wave 2's battery is not lasting as long as expected. For cooling, one thing to check would be where the Wave is positioned on your arm/wrist. While our testing showed that the slightly smaller ceramic plate of the Wave 2 made cooling sensations feel more intense compared to Wave 1, it does mean that it can be easier to miss the "sweet spot" on your arm that will be most receptive to cooling. We hope a little nudge in the right direction might make all the difference for you!

It’s way more comfortable than the gen 1 and gives your wrist more flexibility. I like the little blue light when it’s actively cooling to remind me of keeping cool in my mind as well.

It's early for a thorough review, but so far I'm impressed. Easy setup, easy to charge. It has a smaller footprint than version 1, and the app works very well (syncs easily, very intuitive menu). I also like that you can control manually as an option as well. Charger pad is small and uses USB-C, which is perfect. No regrets and I look forward to using this a lot in the future - for hot environments and stressful situations.

Not for hot humid florida weather

I have had the first incarnation and it was just too clunky and battery life was not good...Embr 2 device is better all around but it doesnt tolerate being out side too well in Florida climate for cooling.
It does work good in the house for heating and cooling applications.
I do get people asking me where did you get that cool watch from at my gigs... lol
Control is well placed but didnt know you can increase effect with button press as it wasnt very clear in user manual.
I would suggest offering different watch band for added comfort

I Absolutely love my wave 2 , it is so much smaller than the original and it fits perfect Sometimes I forget I even have it on it’s like it’s a part of my arm it’s light and powerful, it gets the job done, I wouldn’t trade my wave 2 for all the tea in China LOL thank you for perfecting this :heart:️:heart:️:heart:️:heart:️:heart:️:heart:️

It helps you beat the heat!

I highly recommend it for anyone who has trouble with the heat in summer or period. The ember wave (both 1 and 2) have been a life saver for me. I discovered them in 2019 preparing for a cosplay that was all leather. The heat in the summer can hit me hard and fast, and this was a game changer to help me manage both in costume and in the summer. Ember wave 2 has a sleek design with buttons you can't easily hit on accident. It looks like a smart watch in design, and will accent anything you wear.
My husband started to wear it after me, and it has been a huge help at work. When he couldn't focus well a blast of cool or heat helped him get back his focus.
The ember wave 2 looks to be easier to clean, while the Ember Wave 1 takes very little use to start to look dirty and is hards to clean up after time. The Ember Wave 2 uses a charger all it's own, but the Ember Wave 1 uses a micro usb to charge, making it more affordable. The additional cloth band for the Ember Wave 1 makes it more comfertable. I hope those become aviable for the Ember Wave 2 as well.
I gave one to a friend who can't manage the heat due to medical reasons and lived in California while in the Air Force. It was a lifesave for him for that time and still is.
