Don’t buy, waste of money.

Returned it after the 30 day trial, total waste of money. Large bulky uncomfortable to wear. Gives a short burst of cold or hot onto a tiny section of wrist. Washing hands in cold or hot water is much more efficient.

I got the Wave 2

I got the Wave 2 for my wife because of her nervous system does not work as it should and she does not adjust to temperature easily. Wave 2 helped a lot and we saw some differences. However that battery dies really fast. We have to change it every day. Another thing we noticed after wearing it for about a month, the magnetic watch band (the magnet) is starting to slide off its place. Other than these few issues we are thankful.

Lukewarm impression, but satisfied with purchase

The cooling feature works adequately…I would prefer the waves to be closer together when using for hot flash relief, but it works. The overnight feature worked well and I did not have any hot flashes that woke me up on the nights I set the 7 hour cooling cycle. I do not care much for the warming feature; it irritates my skin somewhat. I’ve found if I have any lotion or moisturizer on my arm, or if I sweat, I break out in a rash directly under the Embr Wave after any prolonged wear of more than a crew hours. It clears up within an hour or so but is rather itchy at first. I also wish the magnetic band had a more secure closure as it flung off my arm by simply putting a backpack on. Overall I think I’m satisfied with my purchase for myself, and would recommend to friends with the caveats I listed above.

Rashes (or contact dermatitis) can happen when moisture gets trapped under any kind of strap or band worn on the skin, so we recommend using the Wave on clean, dry skin if you’ve had issues with irritation in the past (maybe give your wrist a quick wipe with a tissue if you’ve just applied lotion or have been sweating). The charger is off but it’s an okay device

It is an investment and you do need to have the time to sit and really discover how to use the device. The charging is off and the company is aware. My first Wave II I got broke completely and my second one they sent me has troubles charging. For the amount of money we are paying for this technology I don’t feel we should have to worry about if it is going to charge or not.
I do quite enjoy the cooling feature for my comfort during any of my hot flashes I get from my POTS/Dysautonomia

This device really does ease my frequent and severe hot flashes. They don’t stop completely, but I feel relief and am glad of it.
I even tried the heat button once, and that helped on a very cold night.
My next sampling will be to curb the hot flashes that begin as I wake in the mornings.
This is an ingenious and attractive tool to mitigate these hormonal temperature swings.

This works amazing. I even shared it with a male co-worker who was very hot. He told me as an EMT they were instructed to put ice on the forearms of people who were hot. This finally made sense to me and figured out a tiny reason that this little EMBR works. I'm sure there is more to it, but I tell everyone about my little helper!

Better at sending heat than providing cooling

I think it works better for people who get cold easily, instead of people trying to get cool. I purchased it to help me with relief from heat, and initially it feels good. But then when the timer is up, and you want to use it more, the device itself gets warm. Like a cellphone that is in the sun for a few minutes too long.
So the cold feeling on my wrists is being canceled out by the heat of the device itself. I’m giving it 3 stars because *maybe* I’ll get use to it? But to be honest I get so flushed with heat that I have a go-to fan that looks like headphones that I wear around my neck. So I use the two together to get more of an instant relief.
Also the strap fell off me and the device fell on the floor and got scratched so that was a bummer.
I don’t know if I’d recommend it. Maybe if your issue is wanting to feel warmth, then this product may be for you.
