It definitely does NOT relieve

It definitely does NOT relieve a hot flash but does feel nice as a cool shot to the wrist. I feel I’d benefit from it more if the cool shot lasted MUCH longer. And I hate the heat that I feel on the edges of the device after the cool gets triggered. The cost to benefit ratio is way off for me. For these reasons I will be returning my ember wave 2.

Unfortunately, the Wave 2 didn't work for me. I am sending it back. The return process has been super easy. I think it may work for hot flashes but I'm just super hot all the time so I was constantly turning it on. I did feel some relief but not enough for the price.

I had the previous generation

I had the previous generation and it had a lot of issues, so I was thrilled when it randomly broke and I could upgrade. The Wave 2 fixes all the issues I was irritated by! I use it mainly for cooling and I wish it were even cooler! But it doesn't heat up at the end like the old one, so I'll take it. It can just run again.

Not worth your time.

Way too expensive to be of any value, gets scratched easily when it's meant to be on the bottom of your wrist. The hot is too hot, even on its lowest setting. It's a stinging kind of hot, not a glove type of warm. The only good thing is that the cold setting is pretty good sometimes. I'm trying to get a refund but they refuse to continue the process even though I've sent it back off.

Overall I really like my Embr Wave 2. A few things, for some reason it always disconnects from the app. It connects again quickly, but it happens constantly which is annoying. Other issue is that Track and Learn features are not available and when I asked was told don’t know when they’ll be online. That’s a little disappointing.

Lukewarm impression, but satisfied with purchase

The cooling feature works adequately…I would prefer the waves to be closer together when using for hot flash relief, but it works. The overnight feature worked well and I did not have any hot flashes that woke me up on the nights I set the 7 hour cooling cycle. I do not care much for the warming feature; it irritates my skin somewhat. I’ve found if I have any lotion or moisturizer on my arm, or if I sweat, I break out in a rash directly under the Embr Wave after any prolonged wear of more than a crew hours. It clears up within an hour or so but is rather itchy at first. I also wish the magnetic band had a more secure closure as it flung off my arm by simply putting a backpack on. Overall I think I’m satisfied with my purchase for myself, and would recommend to friends with the caveats I listed above.

Rashes (or contact dermatitis) can happen when moisture gets trapped under any kind of strap or band worn on the skin, so we recommend using the Wave on clean, dry skin if you’ve had issues with irritation in the past (maybe give your wrist a quick wipe with a tissue if you’ve just applied lotion or have been sweating). I wish the Wave 2 was more durable

I still love my Wave 2 for how it helps me manage my hot flashes, and I just told 3 people about it today for that reason. However, it is much easier for the Wave 2 to fall off of your arm, and the back of mine has already cracked and a chip has fallen out after wearing it for just 3 months. Something this expensive should be more durable.
