Purchased this to go along with my 22" kettle and while it is nice, I found that the quality is really quite awful.
After a few high heat cooks, the seasoning on the iron began to bubble and when inspecting it recently I noticed that the grate has cracked. This thing has been used less than 5 times.

Hello, thank you for bringing this to our attention! Our Sear Grate is made of porcelain enameled cast iron which retain high heat better than stainless steel. It should not crack after only five uses. Our accessories are backed by two year warranty! We have passed your feedback to our support team and they will be happy to look into this for you!
Excellent results of cross sear on sirloins while cooking asparagus and fingerling potatoes (in foil). Perfect sear and medium rare after 2 minutes each side over direct heat and 4 minutes indirect at the edge. Fit replacement grate on my 15 year old Platinum Master Touch charcoal grill.
I BBQ with charcoal so the grate does not get hot enough to create grill marks. If it was made with smaller amount of materials it might work better. When using a gas grill it probably works fine.
