Would rather have the entire grill in this material. Removing the grill while charcoal gets ready is a hassle as the insert will not stay in the normal grill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Once the charcoal is lit, place the cooking grate back on the grill using heat-resistant gloves and insert the sear grate above. This accessory carries a 2-year warranty! A large footprint. I did better on the original grate with rotating the meat

I have just used the sear grate for the first time. I was rolling some asparagus across the grate and noticed three cracks across it. I’m afraid it will crack all the way across and fall in the coals.
