I have just used the sear grate for the first time. I was rolling some asparagus across the grate and noticed three cracks across it. I’m afraid it will crack all the way across and fall in the coals.

Great sear grate. Coupled with a vortex, perfect sear marks. Careful not to drop it or the tabs that hold it into the GBS will break off.

I've used cast iron grates in the past. I enjoy this system is integrated into the weber system. I've cooked about 4x with it now and it produces good grilling marks. I enjoy it and recommend it.

I received the delivery with a box that had been open. The grate had one piece broken off it. Still functional, but not a good experience. The grate, if not received broken would have received a five star rating. The grill itself is awesome though.
