I've used cast iron grates in the past. I enjoy this system is integrated into the weber system. I've cooked about 4x with it now and it produces good grilling marks. I enjoy it and recommend it.

Couldn’t be happier with this grate. Use it on my Weber Charcoal Grill...1 minute sear on each side...awesome taste.

It is a suitable replacement for the other grill grate that broke. However it would be better if the spacing between the grill bars was smaller, for smaller cuts of meat the grill marks do not show up well, and that is the whole reason to have a grill grate?

It does exactly what it claims to do, professional grill marks. It seemed my steaks almost had a better taste, like it was grilled on a cast iron griddle.
