I have the big green clean machine for large areas, an automatic spot cleaner for small things, and the Hoover Power Scrub for everything in the middle. I really like the brushes on the Hoover Power Scrub. I have always thought the scrubbing style brushes did a much better job than the beater bar style that you see on a vacuum. The dry time seems to be on par with the Big green machine if not slightly better. The dry time is much much better than my spot cleaner. I will say that set in stains will still need to be pre treated and gone over a few times if you want to be successful with this carpet cleaner. The Upholstery Tool is no different from any other. I feel as if this is the area that cleaners could stand out but seem to just go with the industry norm.

I love the scent of the cleaner it came with. This is definitely a must for homes with animals! It even worked on our linoleum kitchen floors.

I have pets and their hairs get trapped in the furniture and this product cleaned my furniture and it looked brand new. This product also cleaned my carpet and I can't even see the stains that I struggled to get clean with another brand shampooer. This product is number one on my list.

A Great Everyday Carpet Cleaner For The Modern Pet Owner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had pets our whole adult life and, as a result, we did the whole "rental" carpet cleaner thing many many times. It always seemed cheap at the time then we'd run into faulty equipment that leaked, filthy tanks that weren't properly dried or stored, messy hoses and sneaky late fees. Several years ago we invested In a Hoover carpet cleaner and ever since we were the home loaning ours out to family and friends. If you have carpet and pets and you're on the fence just make the investment, you won't regret it. When we had the chance to upgrade to the new Hoover PowerScrubXL+ it was pretty similar to our older model, except it had a slightly higher capacity and a new speed dry function. In general the machine doesn't feel heavy or fancy, it looks mostly of plastic and on the lighter weight side- but I don't aim to display my carpet cleaner so that's fine. The storage back for accessories is a really great addition- and the included solution has a nice fresh smell that isn't too soapy or overwhelming. We used it on a room with mid range carpet where the fibers have obviously been worn from traffic and we'd lost count of how many spot stains we'd cleaned. There ate always those spots that seem to just attract dirt bo matter how well you clean the initial stain. Heads up- this unit is fairly loud- but it also seems quite powerful as the suction and turnover of fluid visibly agitated the fibers almost magically lifting deep set dirt. It was kind of like those power washing videos you see on YouTube. As for the dry function we were so interested in, I think we'll need to play with it more on different carpets as I suspect it may be most powerful on rugs or short piles. It seemed to help lift the bulk of the moisture but nothing life altering. Other things we noted: - We felt the power cord containment was a bit clunky and the cord a tad shorter than we'd have liked. -It was very intuitive to use- I'm pretty sure even a first time carpet cleaner could set it up and use it with success. -The handle has several adjustable heights, which offered easier manipulating in various angles and spaces. -The tankspout offered convenient pouring.

I had some spills I had been waiting to clean up so I could use this one instead of my old one. I must say, I am impressed with its cleaning power with just a couple of passes over the stain. And the carpet is already just about dry and I just finished a few minutes ago. I am truly appreciative of @bzzagent and @hoover for giving me the chance to try this baby out. I it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My home is mostly carpet and it hasn't been deep cleaned in quite awhile so getting this Hoover Power Scrub XL + Carpet Cleaner was the perfect opportunity to test it out. I also have 2 cats that seem to shed constantly so cat fur is a huge problem when it comes to my regular routine of vacuuming. I have to say this machine did a great job of cleaning not only the fur but all the other dirt that my regular vacuum left behind which was way better than my expectations. My carpet wasn't left soaking wet but only a little damp and the machine was lightweight and easy to assemble including the tank which comes off so you can fill it with water. Overall the power scrub XL + carpet cleaner left my carpet visibly cleaner and fresher. I will continue to use maybe once a month especially when my carpet needs a refresh.
