I did all the carpets in our house and was totally shocked at the increase in dirt it pulled up! Easier to use, empty, and refill, and I'm sure the capacity was greater. Definitely the best 'upgrade' of household 'appliance' we've ever done.

I am 65 and my old hoover finally went "brushes up" after 20+ years. So I'm hoping to not have to buy another. We live rural, with dogs, cats, livestock, and lots of dirty shoes that don't always get kicked off outside like they should. I clean the carpets at least 4 times per year. One thing I liked on the old one was the little spin brushes that don't seem to stretch the carpet out like brush rolls can. Sadly, the new one's brushes are kinda wimpy, and don't look like they will last as long. Hoover: use sturdier brushes! I shouldn't have to buy new ones in a couple years. Otherwise very happy with purchase.

Both easy enough to remove and replace. I enjoyed seeing all that dark dirty water come out of my carpets. That has got to be the most gratifying experience ever. The price was right, too.

I love that it really gets up the water. I had to call customer service because I didn't have the handle secured in place. They were great and offered to have a new one shipped but my husband found my error. Will recommend this cleaner!!

I absolutely love this machine!! I had one of those huge other brands before this one, and I can tell you the other brand must not have been working very well!! The amount of dirt this machine pulled out of my rugs was amazing!! My rugs look brand new! So glad I purchased the xl machine!! Love it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am only reviewing the brush attachment, upon receiving my Hoover cleaner the floor cleaner wasnt working. This explains the 4 stars instead of 5 stars like it should be. The floor attachment alone worked wonders on my inside door rug and couch. I have 2 long haired dog's & 1 short haired dog, who all 3 love to lay on the rug & furniture. After using the brush attachment on the rug the results were amazing! I did sweep prior to using the carpet cleaner but the amount of dog hair & dirt that the brush attachment alone pulled up makes me second guess my sweepers abilities. The after results made the rug look brand new & smell so clean! I am in touch with Hoover to get a replacement. However I still recommend this carpet cleaner especially if you have animals. Also I love the bag that you store the brush attachment in, it also has a hook for hanging and it closes. Also this machine is light weight, easy to maneuver/use & convenient to store.
