No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cleaner was received and did not work. Had to take it to a local service center for confirmation of this and to process as a warranty claim. Why don't they just have you return it on their dime and ship out a new one??? Their policy is terrible!

An easy to use, effective Carpet cleaner for larger areas

This is a pretty good design compared to some others I have used. I like that the tool hose is separate from the handle (a weak point for breakage of the hose on other brand machines). The carpets I have cleaned dry faster than other machines. I will say that you cannot pull the accessory hose to bring the unit closer to the work. The hose barb is pretty fragile, even though pulling that way is a misuse of the machine. Note: I would like to buy a replacement hose barb for the cleaning solution, which broke when I pulled the machine closer by the tool hose. I can replace it buy taking the hose apart; I don't need a whole hose assembly.
I would recommend this to a friend!
