Don't buy this

Had it for less than 6 months and the whole base of the hose got clogged with hair, when the main selling point of the vaccum says it's good for pet hair. It's also not easy to reach that bottom part of the vaccum to clean it out either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

poor quality and service

I think now I have had three of these. after a few months the auto rewind stops working. when i call hoover they send me to some unknown repair shop about 1 hour away and they tell me they may or may not fitx it under warranty.. they other option is to cut the cord and send them a picture and they may replace it.. the problem is I will be without a vacuum for 10 days. they could not even trust me enough as I am a loyal customer.. dont buy

Good Household Vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an good household vacuum. In comparison to other vacuums, it operates very well. One of the benefits is that it is great at picking up dog hair! We have a long haired for with a double coat who sheds tremendously and after two passes in perpendicular directions, you couldn't even tell she had been in that room at all. One thing I enjoy about this one is the retractable cord, however, it is impractical. In the event that the retracting mechanism breaks, there is no way to wrap the cord. The cord also gets very hot is part of it is still inside while vacuuming. Another downside is the noise level. Compared to my previous vacuum, this one is much louder. For the price, I think this is a great vacuum and would absolutely recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've bought a few vacuums they've not lasted long in our house due to our long haired dog and my children. I was lucky enough to be one of the ones chosen to get one of these to try out. And let me tell you it's amazing. I have all hardwood floors with only carpet in a couple rooms But I vacuumed everything from the walls the corners air vents anything I could. Had no issues no clogging whatsoever. Very easy to clean and to use. The attachments that come with are super helpful. And I like the options to switch from hard floor to carpet. Not to mention the button to wind up the cord is the best can't tell you how many times previous vacuums have come undone and you end up tying them or zipting them together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to review this vacuum cleaner. Assemble was easy only required a Philips screw driver to attach the handle. I have 2 dogs and 1 cats vacuum is hands down the best vacuum I have owned for getting stubborn pet hair. I have a Lab Retriever dog that sheds hair a lot and have to vacuum at least twice a week and I have to say the suction on this vacuum is awesome there is no blown away hairs or spots missed. The tools gets my stairs better than anything i have ever used and the suction is powerful. The cord rewind really saves time and hassle with just a touch your foot on the cord button, no need to bend over! Bagless and washable filter are super convenient for maintaining and cleaning. I love the multi floor surface since I have half hardwood floor other half carpet. I also enjoy the scatter guard to prevent dirt from spreading on your hard wood floors. I attached a video where my kids had Ritz crackers all over are living room rug, this vacuum pick up the debris in ONE SWIPE. Only down fall is the vacuum is bulky and loud, so small kids will not be able to help you vacuum. Also wished it had lights for dark closet ect.. A few times i had issues with the power cord i would click the button and nothing would happen, i was afraid i applied to much pressure i would break it but eventually got it to work, wish it was a more smoother process. But overall the powerful suction and the ability to only need one device to clean both hardwood floors and carpet is completely worth it!

The base is a bit wider and thicker than I am used to, so I have to move my chairs to get around them, but that isn't bad. Emptying the dirt is easy and cleaning the filters is also veey easy. Definitely a nice vacuum.
