I've used this vacuum three times. The first time it worked just fine. The second, it basically just pushed the vacuum powder, and dirt on my floor, all around the room...leaving more of a mess than before. Yes, I then made sure the reservoir was empty, that the tubing and rollers weren't clogged, etc. Tried it again after confirming it was cleaned out. Exact same result. So here I am about 2 months later and really needed to try it again to get some pet hair off of an area rug. All it did was smash the hair deep into the rug in the exact shape and pattern of the roller. Again, leaving more of a mess that will be far harder to get out. This vacuum is basically one-time use. Consider that when purchasing. There is literally nothing in the reservoir of mine, and the rollers are not clogged...it simply...does not vacuum.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Emptying the dirt cup is difficult.

The release button on the dirt cup is stiff and hard to push. The dirt cup does not come apart like previous Hoovers I have owned. In order to clean out the dirt cup i need to stick my hand up inside and pull the dirt out. My vacuum is overloaded in the attached video because I absolutely hate cleaning it out because I can't do it

Worst vacuum I have ever had!

This vacuum is terrible. It shuts itself off after 10 minutes. There is no clog or dirty filter. It just gets hot and its thermo sensor shuts it off. Have to wait 30 minutes to vacume 5 minutes.
